Do you require planning for the glamping pods?

In general, if using the pods as a commercial business, then planning would be required. We always advise to check with your local planning office. We have planning packages available so that we can be with you all the way from the start to the end of your planning process.

Are the glamping pods customisable?

Yes, we can customise all our pods in regards to sizes as well as internal finishes.

Can I come see your glamping pod showroom?

Yes, all our garden pods are fully insulated with 150mm twin insulation. There is 100mm wool insulation and 50mm Kingspan.

Do the pods require heating?

All our glamping pods are fully insulated with 150mm twin insulation. There is 100mm wool insulation and 50mm Kingspan. All our pods come with a 1500kw smart heater which can heat up to 40sqm. Together with our high insulating properties, our pods stay cosy 365 days of the year!

What is the lifespan of the pods?

Our pods are built with a fully galvanised CE certified light guage steel frame which has an 80 years structural warranty. Together with our high insulating properties and focus on ventilation, our pods are built to last a lifetime!

Is delivery included in the price?

Delivery is not included as it varies depending on where you are based. We work with highly skilled transporting contractors that can safely deliver your pod at an additional cost. Please contact us to get a delivery quote.

Are groundswork included?

All our pods come completely fitted out with full electrical and plumbing. However, you will have to organise a level base, as well as ensuring your plumbing and electrics are brought out to the pod.

How is the water heated?

All our pods come with an electric hot water heater underneath the sink. There is also an electric shower to ensure hot water

Can a glamping pod be built so that it is self contained?

Yes, our pods can be adapted so that they are powered by solar and have a compost toilet waste. Please contact a member of the team if you would like to discuss further.

  I commissioned Berko Pods to build a bespoke garden office/room for me.  From the initial phone conversation to the final handover I cannot fault Charlie and his team.

Using their experience they were able to convert my ideas into reality. The build process was quick and tidy and I was kept informed of progress throughout.

I have been using my pod for a couple of months now and it has far exceeded my expectations in terms of light, insulation and finish.

  We commissioned Berko Pods for a garden office for my dad as my sister and nieces had moved home. To say they were professional is an understatement, from the very start we were given the best customer service and were treated wonderfully, we went with a custom order as the space we had available was very tight and the solution Berko provide is incredible. To say that the product they have delivered is well designed and built is an understatement, it truly feels sturdier and better insulated than our house! One of the best parts of their solution was the use of footings/ground screws so there was no need for a concrete slab. All of the lads who assembled our office were fantastic, professional and approachable if we thought of anything and the communication we had with everyone was fantastic. We could not be happier with the garden office we got and would absolutely recommend Berko to anyone looking for a bespoke, quality product from an amazing and open company.   Can’t speak highly enough of this company. We wanted a bespoke garden room and are so glad we went with Charlie and Niamh at Berko Pod Systems. From start to finish it was hassle free and the quality of the finished product is excellent.  The steel framed garden room is like having an extension to our home without the disruption and inconvenience of getting building work done. Charlie and Niamh kept us regularly informed of the build progress and it was delivered and installed in the agreed timescale.
